Coming in to Port!!
ALEX SHIPPE
With His Debut Release,
“BEAUTIFUL IMPOSTER”

Hello my lovelies!  Today, we’re featuring an upcoming incredibly talented author and his debut release, "BEAUTIFUL IMPOSTER", due to release this month!  I am honored to be able to introduce to you the newest of the greatest authors of today, ALEX SHIPPE.

Alex has a wide selection of genres to please many audiences in whatever form best suits them, from super natural and paranormal to adult contemporary and, my personal favorite, erotica! ;)

His book will be released within the month, even possibly the week, so, I suggest you be ready to download and get right to it!  Don't worry...I will most certainly let you know exactly when it is available for your pleasure!  ;)

His writing style is refreshingly different from those we normally read.  Suspense and mind-numbing with twists and turns that will have you begging for more and wondering what he'll do next! "Beautiful Imposter" is a super short read that is a wonderful and suspenseful tease for a story much bigger that will plunge you into high anticipation for the story to go on.  Be sure to read my five star review for a little peak at what you can expect from Alex Shippe.  I highly encourage you to follow this new author!  He will be one of my favorites, I am quite sure!

SYNOPSIS:

Hardworking, devoted wife Jessica races home from her hectic corporate schedule to spend an unexpected take-five the boss gave her with none other than her loving husband Byron. But the gut-wrenching scene she finds on the bedroom floor knocks the wind out of her. Betrayed, angry, wounded, it’s all she can do not to drag Byron to the nearest lawyer and demand divorce. As the evening unfolds Jessica opens her heart to the man she thought she once knew, and takes a chance on love. Can they work through his infidelity? And if so, what will it take for her to forgive him? Time, it is said, can heal all wounds. Can it really . . . heal all wounds?

Beautiful Imposter is an adult contemporary short story with mature language and scenes.

MY FIVE STAR REVIEW of “BEAUTIFUL IMPOSTER”:

Beautiful Imposter is a wonderful short story about a married couple and their unusual struggles. All emotions were conveyed in this short read, which, in itself, is a show of talent on the author's part. I felt the excitement that Jessica felt as she counted the steps and the seconds to finally being with her husband for a few hours, whom she was irrevocably and totally in love with...then anxiety waiting to see if he would be there waiting for her and ready for a passionate session of love making. But, for what she actually finds?...Shock, anger and frustration followed with the secret she learns her husband, Byron has been keeping from her. For Byron, I felt sympathy after seeing a bit of his POV. However, confusion followed and for quite some time as some details seemed to be missing. After finally realizing what happened both to Byron and to Jessica, sadness and heartbreak assumed my thoughts when learning of tragedy striking in the midst of their reconciliation. Fear of what may be yet another tragedy involving Jessica had me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. When David, here employer, is brought more up front and center in the story, I find myself hoping for a happy ending, which is assumed to be the case, but not elaborated on.
I would like to see Alex give a more detailed version of this story to fill in the blanks and to move forward with the outcome of the characters involved.
This short story would be an ideal teaser/introduction to another book on a much larger scale.
On the other hand...leaving circumstances to the readers imagination is sometimes a wonderful thing. I was like everyone else here, confused at first, but left relieved and full of hope at the end of the book.
Five Stars for a well played tug on the imagination and fulfillment of emotional fruition.
I will most definitely keep following Alex's work. Good luck with your future writings!
~CB

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

I'm a husband and father of three. My wife of 10 years has gone back to school while I'm at home trying to be . . . loads superhero theme music, stands akimbo, head turned—wait for it—Domestic Dad. By day I'm juggling kids, cooking, cleaning, errands, breathing, hitting the weights and general merriment while my wife is juggling school and her internship. By night, after I hang up the cape and cowl, I leap into a world of fantasies and heroes. I write supernatural, paranormal, adult contemporary and erotica. Needless to say, my life isn't boring. It's crazy. Now, if I could finish every story idea in my head that would be the ticket.
I enjoy traveling. Seeing new sights and sites. Eating new foods. Sometimes torturing myself with something that's so heinous that I might regret it later, especially if there's a record of it on someone's cell phone. I enjoy reading a wide variety of books, from Kahlil Gibran to Hemingway to Tolkien to Gibson. I can handle just about any song. And on the not so rare occasion I'll add it to my constantly growing music library.
I've been a graphic artist, art director, newspaper designer, and in the near future will be starting a new career as a therapist. School first!
